The service

Focus Group ("we", "us") generates a simulated reader panel: a language model invents a small number of fictional panelists from an audience you describe and produces each one's reaction to a piece of copy you supply. You ("you", "the customer") pay per panel at the rate published on our pricing page.

This is not market research

The panelists are simulated. No person is recruited, interviewed, surveyed, sampled or paid, and no output here represents the views of any real individual or population. There is no sample, therefore no statistical validity, no margin of error and no representativeness — and we do not produce percentages of respondents, demographic findings or sample sizes. You must not present output from this service as research, survey data, customer testimony or evidence about a market, and you must not attribute it to any real person or organisation. If a regulator, an investor, a court or a customer would read it as research, it is being used wrongly.

Acceptable use

You may test copy you have the right to test. You will not use the service to generate material impersonating a real, identifiable person, or to produce anything presented as the genuine opinion of a named individual. You will not attempt to discover endpoints we haven't documented or bypass rate limits. When you supply a URL you confirm you are entitled to have that page read.

Account & billing

There is no subscription for this product. Usage is billed in Ounie credits from your shared Ounie wallet — 8 credits per panel, reserved when the run starts and settled on success. Reading, comparing, exporting, renaming and deleting panels are free. A panel that comes back without a genuine dissenting panelist, and a URL that yields no readable copy, are refunded in full and never billed. Credits are purchased and managed on ounie.com; your prior panels remain accessible regardless of your credit balance.

No warranty of accuracy

A panel is a structured second reading of your own copy, not evidence. We do not warrant that any reaction, objection, score or suggested revision reflects how any real person would respond, and we do not warrant that acting on one will improve any outcome. Every decision you make from a panel is yours.

Refunds

Failed runs are refunded automatically — the credit reservation is reversed and no ledger entry is written. For anything else, open a support ticket. Payments made over the keyless x402 rail settle on chain and cannot be reversed, which is why that rail refuses a failed or unusable run before settlement rather than after.

Liability

Our liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including any loss arising from a decision you made on the basis of a simulated panel.

Termination

Either party can terminate at any time. You retain access to data you've already paid for. We may suspend accounts for material violations of these terms with notice.
