What we collect
When you sign in we receive your email address and display name from our identity provider (signin.ounie.com). When you run a panel we store the artifact you tested (the copy, or the URL and the text we read from it), the audience description and focus you chose, which of your brains you selected, and the generated panel — every simulated panelist's label, score, reaction, objections, suggested revision and quote, plus a citation pointer to any brain page that grounded them.
What we don't collect
We don't track you across the web. There are no third-party analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, no session replay. The copy you test is usually unreleased — we don't publish it, share it, sell it, or use it to train anything.
Where data lives
Application data (panels, panelists, credit ledger entries) is stored in a single Neon Postgres database hosted in the US. Your brain content itself stays on ounie.com — Focus Group reads it at run time through Ounie's API as you, and never keeps a copy of your sources. CSV and Markdown exports are generated on demand and never stored.
Pages you ask us to read
When you supply an artifact_url we fetch that page once, server-side, and keep only the readable text as the artifact. We refuse non-public addresses. We do not crawl beyond the single URL you gave us and we do not revisit it later.
Third-party model providers
Generating a panel sends the artifact, your audience description and any brain context you selected to a language-model provider (OpenRouter) to produce the panel. Nothing is sent anywhere else.
Payments
Payments happen on ounie.com, where Stripe processes credit purchases. This product never sees your card number; it only reads and debits your Ounie credit wallet. Stripe's privacy policy lives at stripe.com/privacy.
Keyless (x402) calls
A panel paid for over x402 has no account attached. It is returned in the response and not stored — there is nobody to store it against.
Deletion
Deleting a panel deletes its panelists with it, immediately. To delete your account or download your data, open a privacy ticket. We respond within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30.
